Applicants needed for voters’ guide work

The city of Vancouver is seeking applicants for two three-person committees to write statements for the November 2012 General Election Clark County Local Voters’ Pamphlet presenting arguments advocating approval or rejection of a ballot measure for a proposed Metropolitan Park District.

The statements advocating for and against passage of the ballot measure must be filed with the county auditor by Aug. 16, and the rebuttal statements must be filed with the auditor by Aug. 22. The statements are limited to 250 words, and rebuttals are limited to 75 words each.

Applications must be received in the city manager’s office by 5 p.m. July 12. Applicants for this position must live within the Vancouver city limits.
