Vancouver won last year’s title in its own gym at Clark College. Entering the playoffs this year the Volcanoes have a 2-6 road record.

If Vancouver defeats Salem, the Volcanoes will take on top seed and host Bellingham Slam at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the semifinal round.

The Edmonton Energy, who lost to the Volcanoes in last year’s title game, play the Olympia Reign in the opening game today. The winner of that faces No. 2 seed Portland Chinook on Friday.

The championship game is set for 5 p.m. Sunday.
