SAINT-QUENTIN-EN-YVELINES, France (AP) — Marcel Siem of Germany shot a 4-under 67 to win the French Open, finishing one stroke ahead of Francesco Molinari of Italy.

Siem had five birdies and one bogey Sunday for an 8-under 276.

The 120th-ranked Siem won the 2004 Dunhill Championship in South Africa and teamed up with Bernhard Langer in 2006 to win the World Cup for Germany.

Molinari started the round in 22nd place, six strokes off the lead. He dropped two shots on his opening hole but then ran off nine birdies for Sunday’s lowest score at 64.

Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin shot a 69 and finished third.
