Letter: Use fireworks responsibly

The Columbian
Published: July 8, 2012, 5:00pm

I didn’t have a problem with fireworks for the Fourth of July. I do, however, have a problem with them setting them off all hours of the night and beyond the Fourth.

If we are to continue to enjoy this holiday, law enforcement should ensure that people use fireworks responsibly. I would ask people to be considerate of the elderly, animals, and especially our veterans who have some issues with these loud boomers. Also, please don’t use them after the Fourth of July, as the law dictates.
