OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed undrafted free agent Hollis Thompson to a contract.

The Thunder announced Wednesday that they had agreed to the deal with Thompson, who left Georgetown after his junior season to enter the NBA draft early, but did not get taken. The 6-foot-8 forward set a Hoyas record by making 44 percent of his 3-point attempts during three seasons at Georgetown.

Thompson ranked second on the team with 12.8 points and also averaged 5.5 rebounds last season.

General manager Sam Presti says Thompson will be sidelined for three to four weeks after having minor surgery on his left groin this week. That will keep him from participating in summer league games.
