LAS VEGAS (AP) — Everyone still at the table at the marquee Main Event of the 2012 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas is now guaranteed a share of the more than $62 million prize pool.
Tournament official Seth Palansky says 24-year-old David Kelley of Mercer Island, Wash., finished 667th on Friday to become the last player in the original field of 6,600 to finish out of the money.
Kelley does get a consolation prize — an automatic seat at next year’s Main Event.
Palansky says going into Saturday the field in the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Texas Hold ’em World Championship is expected to narrow to fewer than 350.
