KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Restrictions took effect Monday to prevent wildfires on private and state lands protected by the Oregon Department of Forestry.
They include a ban on off-road driving. Chain saws may not be used in the afternoon and evening hours. Campfires are restricted to designated campgrounds. And smoking is banned, except inside buildings or vehicles.
Debris burning has been banned since late May.
