A woman was stabbed by her sister in an apartment Monday evening during a fight, said Vancouver Police Cpl. James Burgara.

Police responded to a call about 6:23 p.m. at an apartment in the Evergreen Village Apartments complex, 2501 N.E. 138th Ave. A neighbor had heard a woman screaming for help, saying she had been stabbed. When police arrived, they found a woman stabbed in the leg. She told two witnesses that her sister had stabbed her, but was reluctant to speak to police.

After a short chase on foot, police caught, arrested and booked the suspect at the Clark County Jail for first-degree assault and domestic violence.

The names of the women, both in their 20s, had not been released when this story was posted.
