DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Tilde defeated Cotton’s Point by 312 lengths to win the $100,000 California Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association Stakes for 2-year-old fillies on Friday at Del Mar.
Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Tilde ran 512 furlongs on the synthetic surface in 1:04.50 and paid $7.20, $3.80 and $2.20. It was Bejarano’s second stakes win in the first three days of the summer meet.
Cotton’s Point returned $4.60 and $2.40, while Tribal Peace was another half-length back in third and paid $2.10 to show.
