West Minnehaha — Two more Evergreen Habitat for Humanity homes are going up in Clark County. A ground breaking ceremony for the Adams and Murphy families was held on July 15 at the side-by-side sites of the homes, at the corner of Northeast 19th Avenue and 49th Street. Family introductions were followed by a ground blessing and refreshments. These are the 25th and 26th Habitat homes built by EHFH since the group started in 1991. Residents contribute 250 hours of “sweat equity” to the projects in return for low-cost homes with zero-interest mortgages. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Wells Fargo contributed, too.
