Letter: Republicans must rescue America
Thursday, July 26, 2012
If this country is to survive as we knew it, life has to be breathed into the conservative half of this nation.
Mitt Romney has to speak clearly about the issues with an emphasis on how to cut big government that is now squeezing citizens in a horrible vise. He has to talk about crushing debt that will never be paid off.
Many Americans are poorly educated and fail to understand what it means to have half the population paying little or no taxes and food stamp dependence at a cost of $80 billion a year with almost 45 million on the dole.
Romney needs to show that the last election was a terrible mistake electing someone who never held a real job.
This nation made a big leap into the dark hoping all the clever rhetoric and speeches would offer a better deal, but it was not to be. Time is slipping, but there is still the opportunity to speak bluntly about true leadership and a vision of a new time where opportunity, independence and freedom returns to the people.
The status quo with President Obama is toxic to America.
