LONDON (AP) — Fans who showed up to watch archery’s preliminary rounds at Lord’s Cricket Ground were turned away.

Olympic officials said Friday the ranking rounds were not advertised as open to the public. The officials add they had sent warnings about buying tickets from unofficial websites.

Dozens surrounded an entrance before the competition began, many angry with Olympics volunteers about why they couldn’t get in. One man said he was told as many as 4,000 people were going to be allowed in to watch archery.

Men and women shoot their ranking rounds Friday.

South Korea’s team scored a world record with 2087 points for first place. Legally blind Dong Hyun Im also set a world record with 699 points, beating his own world record by three arrows.
