ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Stoke has agreed on a fee and personal terms with American defender Geoff Cameron.
Financial terms were not disclosed between the English Premier League team and Cameron’s Houston Dynamo.
The 27-year-old Cameron was to meet touring Stoke in Orlando on Thursday for a medical exam, and his transfer was also subject to him receiving a British work permit.
Stoke was attracted to Cameron by his ability to play in defense and midfield. He was a Major League Soccer All-Star last year, and has made five appearances for the U.S. national team.
