Camas native Brent Richards will make his first Major League Soccer start tonight when the Portland Timbers host Chivas USA at Jeld-Wen Field in Portland.

The rookie out of the University of Washington and Camas High School is listed as a forward alongside Kris Boyd in the starting lineup announced by interim head coach Gavin Wilkinson.

Richards had appeared in two of the Timbers last three MLS games, logging a total of 61 minutes off the bench. In the last month, he has been consistently among the 18 players available for league matches.

The match will be shown live on Root Sports, which is channel 34 or 734 on Comcast cable. Richards wears No. 16.
