A 51-year-old White Salmon woman was killed this morning when her motorcyle hit the back of a Chevrolet pickup that had stopped on state Highway 14 to make a left turn.

Renee M. Willeford died at the scene, according to the Washington State Patrol.

According to the accident report, two motorcycles were heading west about four miles west of Bingen at about 9:45 a.m. A 1999 Chevrolet S10 pickup driven by Allen R. Paz, 62, of Portland, was stopped, waiting to turn left into a recreational area.

The lead motorcycle passed the pickup on the right; Willeford tried to make the same maneuver, but her 2005 Harley-Davidson FXSTDI hit the rear of the pickup.

Paz was not injured, according to the report; his pickup suffered an estimated $2,000 in damage and was driven from the accident scene.
