The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office on Monday identified the girl who was flown to a Portland hospital after falling into a fire pit Sunday at Swift Forest Camp on Swift Reservoir as Arianna Lopuga, 6. Her home city was not available, Undersheriff Dave Cox said.

The girl was taken by Life Flight helicopter after 2 p.m. Sunday to an area hospital. Her condition and whereabouts were not available on Monday.

Tom McDowell, assistant chief of North Country EMS, said the girl had a 6-inch patch of burned skin on her back and burns on the palms and backs of her hands.
