MANCHESTER, England (AP) — U.S. women’s soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo isn’t backing down from her critical tweets about NBC game analyst Brandi Chastain.

Solo said Monday she was just expressing her opinion during her Twitter outburst. She said she believes the best commentators should be working at the Olympics and feels former player Chastain is lacking in energy, excitement and passion.

Solo railed against Chastain’s commentary following the U.S. team’s 3-0 win over Colombia on Saturday. The outburst led to a meeting with coach Pia Sundhage and the team captains on Sunday, with the coach expressing concern about how the tweets reflected on the team as a whole.

Solo declined to answer any follow-up questions about the matter.
