SHELTON, Wash. (AP) — A man and woman were shot to death early Friday at a house in the community of Potlatch, about 12 miles north of Shelton.
Mason County sheriff’s Chief Deputy Dean Byrd says the preliminary investigation indicates a possible murder-suicide by the woman.
Byrd says the woman told two men she was being stalked and asked for help. When they suspected she had mental issues, she pulled out a gun and shot one man. The other man fled.
Byrd says there were three 911 calls about 4:30 a.m. The first was from a man reporting possible domestic violence. The second was from the other man who reported his friend had been shot. The third was from the woman. She said she had shot a man.
Emergency responders found her fatally wounded.
