PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Portland teacher has been placed on leave while the David Douglas School District investigates a complaint that he pulled a student’s hair.
The mother of the 14-year-old boy told KGW (http://is.gd/7UtLB6) the teacher should be charged with assault.
The incident happened Thursday at Floyd Light Middle School as the boy was stepping down from bleachers after a verbal back-and-forth with the teacher.
The boy said the teacher said, “You know what, I’ll help you” and grabbed his hair and pulled him around.
