EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Allyson Felix risked a quick glance back after rounding the bend in the 200 meters, just a tiny peek to size up who was about to make a move.

No one was even close.

In a race that was supposed to tight, possibly even down to the wire, Felix breezed away from the field at the Prefontaine Classic on Saturday, easily holding off training partner Jeneba Tarmoh and crushing her rival Carmelita Jeter.

Sure, Felix’s time of 22.23 seconds was hardly spectacular, but her performance was, especially with the London Games on the horizon.

Wearing a black aerodynamic two-piece bodysuit with neon yellow patches on the legs, Felix certainly stood out and her performance may have stolen the show at Pre.

Not an easy achievement, either, given the star-laden competition.
