I'll Have Another's trainer in swing with Mets cap

NEW YORK (AP) -- Trainer Doug O'Neill sported a New York Mets cap for his morning briefing after Triple Crown hopeful I'll Have Another made his daily gallop around Belmont Park.

O'Neill said one of his barn security guards -- a big Mets fan -- gave him the cap Saturday. On Friday night, Johan Santana pitched the first no-hitter in Mets history in beating St. Louis.

Overnight rain of 1 1-2 inches left the track a bit muddy, but I'll Have Another did fine in going through a "normal routine." Says O'Neill: "We were on a very nice, safe, fresh track, and I'll Have Another galloped like a champ over it."

The Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner will attempt to become racing's 12th Triple Crown winner in the Belmont Stakes on June 9.
