ALOHA, Ore. (AP) — The Washington County sheriff’s office says a sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man who was armed with a rifle.
Deputies had responded Sunday afternoon to a disturbance at a home in Aloha. The armed man was shot as he walked out.
The 52-year-old man who lived at the home died at the scene.
The deputy has been placed on leave for an investigation by the Washington County Major Crimes Team. The team is led by the district attorney’s office and includes detectives from several police agencies.
