Airport Green — The Airport Green Neighborhood association rid itself of 7.52 tons of household waste and filled four huge drop boxes with yard debris during its annual cleanup on May 19. Volunteers also segregated metal for redemption, block foam for disposal, electronics for disassembly and lawn mowers for a La Center High School small engine class. All of those efforts resulted in a $100 reward from the Waste Connections Resource Conservation Challenge Program.
