A minor-injury crash involving a dump truck and another car clogged state Highway 14 for a few minutes Monday morning.

The crash was reported shortly after 8:30 a.m. on eastbound Highway 14 at milepost 5, just west of the Ellsworth Road exit.

Washington State Patrol spokesman Trooper Ryan Tanner said the dump truck tried to make a lane change and almost hit another vehicle. The other car swerved out of the way and hit the jersey barrier. The dump truck flipped onto the driver’s side and came to a rest on the shoulder, Tanner said.

No one was sent to the hospital after the crash. The dump truck driver was cited for making an unsafe lane change, Tanner said.

The right lane of the highway was closed for about 5 minutes, Tanner said.
