Tickets are now on sale for the Fourth of July celebration at Fort Vancouver.

That message hasn’t always been part of the annual event, known formally as Independence Day at Fort Vancouver presented by Bank of America.

This is the third summer the Fort Vancouver National Trust has charged an admission fee to help make the event self-supporting.

General admission is $5 in advance and $7 at the gate for those 13 and older; children 12 and younger are free.
