A 23-year-old Vancouver woman was briefly hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a Freightliner truck collided with her car on Interstate 205, Washington State Patrol said.
According to police, a truck driven by Iurii Balko, 28, of Kent crossed into the right lane on northbound I-205, crashing into a 2006 Suzuki Forenza driven by Jessica Madison. The collision happened near 18th Street around 12:47 p.m.
An ambulance transported Madison to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment for possible neck and back injuries, but she was later released, hospital officials said. She was wearing her seat belt, police said.
Police cited Balko for an improper lane change for failing to grant the right of way.
Madison’s car was totaled. Balko’s truck sustained $1,000 worth of damage and was driven from the scene, police said.
