Letter: Illustration unfairly discriminates

My husband and I are retired public employees and union members and, until we saw the opinion cartoon published June 8 (differentiating between the federal employees' trust fund and the Social Security Trust Fund), we didn't realize we were not also taxpayers.
Wow! How dumb are we for paying in all of these years. Are we owed a refund?
