'Tip-A-Cop' to benefit Special Olympics
Thursday, June 14, 2012
This is one time where tipping a cop wouldn't be considered bribery.
Local police will serve customers at four Clark County Applebee's locations from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight as part of a fundraiser for Special Olympics Washington.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office will staff the Hazel Dell, 816 N.E. 98th Circle, and Salmon Creek, 13006 N.E. Highway 99, locations. Battle Ground police will work at the Orchards location, 5111 N.E. 112th Ave., and Camas police will work at the Cascade Park location, 12717 S.E. 2nd Circle.
Carter Harris, 5, who was sworn in as honorary Sheriff in May, will stop by all four locations to help serve customers.
The program is part of a statewide "Tip-A-Cop" night for Special Olympics that includes 13 Applebee's restaurants.
