Letter: Boxer did crime, resents time
Tuesday, June 19, 2012
According to the June 12 Columbian story “Lawyer: Jail conditions may end Mayweather career,” June gloom has come to Floyd Mayweather Jr. I used to think that nothing looked more natural than boxing gloves on Floyd Mayweather Jr., that is, until I saw the handcuffs on his wrists. I heard that he is just not comfortable with his 7-by-12 foot accommodations, despite the built-in bathroom. For advice on managing discomfort, he may wish to consult the victims of his domestic abuse and various battered minimum-wage parking attendants. True, it’s not what he is used to, but an extra $40 million plus on top of his gazillions waiting for him just outside the prison walls may slightly ease the suffering.
