NEWTON, Iowa (AP) — Esteban Guerrieri won the Indy Lights race in Iowa on Saturday night, the Argentinian’s third victory of the season.
Guerrieri took over the lead with 44 laps left when Tristan Vautier was given a drive-through penalty for blocking. Guerrieri then held off Gustavo Yacaman, who moved up from eighth to finish second, and Victor Carbone.
Vautier finished fourth after starting on the pole.
The race was scheduled to start before the IndyCar race won by Ryan Hunter-Reay. But storms forced officials to move the Indy Lights race back, and it didn’t start until nearly midnight local time.
