Burnt Bridge Creek -- Don't feed the ducks! That's what Carol Patrick's former fifth grade class at Peter S. Ogden Elementary School wants you to know. "We have created and installed a sign at the 86th Avenue walking bridge to prevent people from feeding the ducks," Patrick wrote in an email. "The sign includes information in English, Spanish and Russian. We also developed a brochure so that the apartment complex residents and restaurants nearby can learn about the dangers in feeding the ducks." Dangers such as what? Overpopulation, disease, fecal bacteria, poisonous algae growth and an overall slimy mess.
