BALTIMORE (AP) — The Baltimore Orioles have activated reliever Matt Lindstrom from the disabled list and optioned utility player Steve Tolleson to Triple-A Norfolk.

Lindstrom went on the 15-day DL on May 11 with a strained ligament in his right middle finger. The right-hander was 0-0 with a 1.29 ERA in 13 games before being sidelined.

Tolleson hit .220 in 17 games with Baltimore. One of his two homers came off Philadelphia’s Cliff Lee, a three-run drive on June 10 in a 5-4 victory.

Tolleson played both third base and left field. He had 11 hits and six RBIs in 50 at-bats.

The moves, announced Wednesday, leave the Orioles with only three bench players and a nine-man bullpen. Manager Buck Showalter says the roster will probably stay that way through the weekend.
