Culley wins women’s 5000 at Olympic trials

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Julie Cullley ran the women’s 5,000 meters in a personal-best 15 minutes, 13.77 seconds at the U.S. track trials Thursday night for a spot on the Olympic team.

Molly Huddle, the American record holder who was the defending champion in the event, finished second in 15:14.40.

Kim Conley finished third in 15:19.79 for the final spot on the team for the London Games.
