BALTIMORE (AP) — Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta called a team meeting Thursday to make sure his players have the right attitude to deal with a five-game losing streak.

Acta assembled his players for a closed-door clubhouse meeting before the opener of a four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles.

Afterward, Acta said he wanted to make sure the players know “it’s a very long season, a roller coaster where you go up and down.”

He pointed out that the Indians were in first place a week ago, and although they’re now a .500 team, “It’s about staying positive, sticking together and just making sure that you do what you’re supposed to do and not panic and try to do too much.”

He said the Indians’ struggle “is something that every team goes through.”
