Legacy Health’s Cancer Institute and Oregon Health & Science University’s Knight Cancer Institute have signed a letter of intent to expand their collaboration to deliver advanced community adult cancer care at all their mutual locations.

The organizations plan to create a more integrated community cancer program for radiation oncology, medical oncology and infusion services that will operate in Clark, Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah and Washington counties.

By collaborating more extensively, the two organizations will be better equipped to leverage their resources, such as equipment purchases, to enhance delivery of cancer care.

Care for patients will not be interrupted under the planned scenario. Patients will continue to see the same physician in the same place. There are no anticipated changes in insurance plans or services.
