ONTARIO, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say a wounded teenager was found at the side of a road in Ontario in Eastern Oregon, and a couple has been jailed on attempted murder charges.

Investigators say the 19-year-old was shot Wednesday at the home of 61-year-old Lester Earl Reger and 50-year-old Erlene Kay Reger.

Officers said the victim, who was not immediately identified, had a relationship with their daughter.

An Oregon state trooper found him about noon at the side of an Ontario road.

The Ontario Argus-Observer and KTVB-TV of Boise (http://bit.ly/z5WtuJ) say the teenager was sent to a hospital in Boise in stable condition. He had two wounds.

The newspaper reported that Lester Earl Reger pleaded guilty in 1985 to manslaughter in the beating death of Simone Reger, then his 27-year-old wife.
