The International Olympic Committee says it received applications from Buenos Aires, Argentina; Glasgow, Scotland; Guadalajara, Mexico; Medellin, Colombia; Poznan, Poland; and Rotterdam, Netherlands.

IOC President Jacques Rogge says “we are delighted with the high level of interest shown” in hosting the third edition of the event.
