BEND, Ore. (AP) — A Deschutes County sheriff’s officer says a Bend, Ore., cross-country skier out with her two dogs has been rescued by a search crew after becoming lost.

Deputy Jim Whitcomb said 41-year-old Kelly Hansen was located about 8:30 p.m. Friday. She was reported lost about three hours earlier.

Whitcomb says Hansen had gotten turned around after skiing up and then down Kiwa Butte. Both she and her dogs were in good condition.
