WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — A sex predator who was civilly committed after a series of crimes in the 1990s in Walla Walla is being released, with conditions.

John W.J. Keeney has been detained at the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island since 2004. He has made enough progress that the state Attorney General’s Office has agreed to allow him to live at the Secure Community Transition Facility in King County.

The Union-Bulletin reports (http://is.gd/ZfFSTM ) Walla Walla County Superior Court Judge John Lohrmann signed an order Tuesday releasing the 36-year-old to the residential facility.
