Penn keeps pace in Ivy race by beating Yale 68-47

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Zack Rosen scored 20 points as Pennsylvania kept pace with Harvard in the Ivy League race with a 68-47 victory over Yale on Saturday night.

Penn (19-11, 11-2) remained a half-game behind Harvard, which defeated Cornell on Saturday night. The Quakers will close their regular season Tuesday night at Princeton.

Rosen scored eight points during a 20-2 run at the start of the second half that gave Penn a 50-24 lead with 11:19 remaining. Jeremiah Kreisberg was the only Bulldogs player to score in the half until Greg Mangano hit a jumper with 6:07 left.

Rob Belcore finished with 11 points for Penn, which shot 54.8 percent (23 of 42) to Yale’s 27.5 percent (14 of 51).

Kreisberg and Mangano scored 10 points each for Yale (19-9, 9-5).

Rosen now leads Mangano in the conference scoring race, 18.5 points per game to 18.2.
