PITTSBURGH (AP) — Dwayne Evans scored 20 points and 14 points to lead Saint Louis to a 75-60 win over Duquesne on Saturday in the absence of Billikens coach Rick Majerus, who was hospitalized before the game.

The 64-year-old Majerus missed the game for precautionary reasons after the school said he took the wrong medication after his routine morning swim. Majerus traveled to the Palumbo Center with the team about 90 minutes before the game, but doctors encouraged him to check into a hospital for evaluation.

The Billikens (24-6, 12-4 Atlantic 10), who have won 8 of their last 9 games, had four other players score in double figures. Kwamain Mitchell finished with 13 points, Brian Conklin and Rob Loe each had 11, and Cody Ellis added 10.

The loss assured the Dukes (16-14, 7-9) a road game in the first round of the conference tournament, which starts on Tuesday.
