UC Santa Barbara ends with 90-43 rout of UC Davis

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — James Nunnally scored 21 points and Orlando Johnson had 20 as UC Santa Barbara closed out the regular season with a 90-43 victory over UC Davis.

The Gauchos (18-9, 12-4) finished in a tie for second place with Cal State Fullerton in the Big West, but will carry the No. 3 seed into the conference tournament, where they will face sixth-seeded Pacific on Thursday.

UC Davis (5-25, 3-13) will be seeded eighth and face top-seeded Long Beach State on Thursday.

Alan Williams added 17 points and Kyle Boswell had 14 for Santa Barbara, which shot 50 percent overall and was 13 for 24 from the 3-point line in Saturday’s victory. The Gauchos used a 28-2 run in the first half to lead 42-13 and turn the game into a rout.

UC Davis got 16 points from J.T. Adenrele and 15 from Eddie Miller.
