LONDON (AP) — The Premier League will consider using goal-line technology in games starting next season in August.
Soccer’s rule makers Saturday approved two systems for a final round of testing ahead of a definitive decision July 2.
If either Hawk-Eye or GoalRef is approved for games, the Premier League’s 20 stadiums would have six weeks to install the technology.
The league has already invested in Hawk-Eye’s development and could start holding talks with GoalRef before the International Football Association Board vote in July.
