EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — One more rule for the bank robber’s handbook: if you’re going to grab a getaway cab, make sure no one sees you.

Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said officers arrested a 33-year-old man in the Monday afternoon robbery of a US Bank branch after a witness reported seeing the robber hop into a Yellow Cab. Goetz says a sergeant called the cab company, got the cab number and began tracking its movements.

Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies caught up to the cab in Marysville and stopped it, taking the passenger into custody. Police don’t think the suspect lives in Everett.

No one was injured in the robbery.
