SALEM, Ore. (AP) — The Kroc Community Center in Salem expects to reopen its swimming pool Friday, following a police investigation into the death of a man.
The Statesman Journal reports (http://is.gd/3AGi1P ) he was found unconscious during an open swim Tuesday, and lifeguards and paramedics were unable to revive him.
The center is operated by the Salvation Army. The administrator, Major Kelly Pontsler, says the center is committed to safety and everyone was shocked and saddened at the loss of life.
