Pacific County tsunami evacuation routes opened

ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) -- A timber management company has agreed to move or remove gates on private forestland in Pacific County to open tsunami evacuation routes.

KBKW reports Hancock Forest Management is cooperating with the county's emergency plan.

Signs will be placed on forest roads coastal residents should use to reach high ground in the event of ocean flooding.
