SEATTLE (AP) — Police say a fatal shooting in Seattle’s Ravenna Park was not random.
Spokeswoman Renee Witt says the victim and shooter apparently knew each other and the shooting about 4:15 a.m. Thursday was the result of some sort of confrontation.
The victim is a man in his 40s who apparently lived in the park as a transient. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he died.
Witt says the suspect was arrested at a nearby apartment building. Detectives are looking for two other people as possible suspects or witnesses.
The death was the ninth homicide in the Seattle this year.
