SEQUIM, Wash. (AP) -- Clallam County sheriff's investigators have found the body of a 2-year-old boy in the rubble of a mobile home fire that also seriously burned the child's father.
The Peninsula Daily News reports http://is.gd/txutdt that the boy's body was found late Friday afternoon in the remains of the home near Sequim, on Washington's Olympic Peninsula.
Hospital personnel at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle said the father, Jeff Bellis, was in critical condition in intensive care after being airlifted with substantial burns and smoke inhalation.
Sequim Fire Department spokesman Patrick Young says the boy's mother, Heather Bellis, her 4-year-old son and her mother-in-law escaped safely.
The fire broke out shortly before noon Friday. Young says the cause is under investigation.
