CHICAGO (AP) — Chris Flores scored 27 points to lead NJIT to an 88-78 overtime victory over top-seeded Utah Valley in the Great West Conference tournament semifinals Friday.

The fourth-seeded Highlanders (15-16) will face North Dakota or Texas-Pan American in Saturday’s final.

Ryan Woods scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, as NJIT shot 52 percent (29 of 56) and went 11 of 21 from 3-point distance. Isaiah Wilkerson added 15 points, including two free throws with 24 seconds left that forced overtime and six more in the extra session. P.J. Miller scored 12.

Isiah Williams led the Wolverines (20-12) with 26 points. Holton Hunsaker added 20 and Keith Thompson 12. Geddes Robinson had 10 points and 16 rebounds, and Ben Aird grabbed 10 boards.

Thompson scored the first basket of overtime. But two free throws by Wilkerson tied it, and after Woods hit a 3-pointer with 3:19 left, NJIT never surrendered the lead.
