LA GRANDE, Ore. (AP) — Police say a Greyhound bus carrying about 30 passengers from Portland was delayed in northeastern Oregon due to a bomb scare.

La Grande Police Chief Brian Harvey says no explosives were found and the bus continued on its journey late Saturday to Boise, Idaho, after about five hours.

He says Greyhound notified authorities at 6 p.m. Saturday after receiving a bomb threat regarding the bus, which was in the La Grande station.

The bus and some nearby businesses were evacuated as a bomb squad examined the bus but no devices were found.

Harvey declined to specify the nature of the threats, citing a continuing investigation.
